Huron Supreme Outside Leg Supports
We believe these outside legs are the most anti - sway legs of their type on the market today. Why, because of our design. Please read - How they are built:
The cross arm and pole holders are constructed using 2.335 sq x .140 wall thickness 6005 T5 extruded aluminum tubing. The pole holders are 11 inches long on our out side supports. The pole adjustment screw isn’t a bolt (bolts weren’t designed to hold parts in place with pressure), it’s a set screw. We use 3/8 dia. Stainless Steel set screws with a 3in long piece of 3/8 dia. Stainless Steel rod, tig welded to it. This makes a T handle system and no tools for adjustment. The T handled set screw is placed on the back side of the pole holder for two reasons. First being it’s out of sight. Second reason and most important, it promotes anti sway. They put pressure on the adjustable poles, forcing them to the outside of pole holders. With poles forced to the outside of holders it stops side ways sway, because they work against each other. The 11 inch support pole holder also add to the anti sway by spreading the pressure over a longer area. Much more than a 2 or 3 inch pole holder or a clamping type system! Pole holders with a bolt going in from the side only stop linear motion not side sway! The clearance necessary for adjustable pole to move freely, is why side sway is prevalent in these supports! The dock holder brackets are welded to both the pole holder and cross arm.
MIDOCKS mud pads are a 10 in x 10in press formed design and are available in welded in place or adjustable models.
MIDOCKS offers two types of dock connections, our aluminum 3/8in dia. L pin system or a 3/8 in dia. Stainless Steel bolt with Stainless Steel wing nut.
MIDOCKS pole stock is 2in dia. X .125 wall - 6005 T5 extruded aluminum tubing.
This produces the best outside pole design.
